The Moreton Bay College
Gymnastics Program offers
complete and comprehensive
recreational and competitive
programs in Women's
Artistic Gymnastics,
Rhythmic Gymnastics
and Cheersports.
During 2001, International
programs for Women's
Artistic Gymnastics
were launched with the
establishment of the
first "Centre of
Excellence in Gymnastics"
in an Independent School
in Queensland.
Leading world Master
Coaches, Olga and Sasha
Beloousov have been
employed as Senior Coaches
to support the development
of the International
and National gymnasts
at MBC. Olga and Sasha
are amongst the highest
credentialed Russian
Coaches in Australian
Women's Gymnastics and
have coached numerous
National Champions and
National Team members
for Russia and Australia.
This Centre of Excellence
will complement the
College's existing objective
of providing quality
sporting programs and
encourage students to
achieve their own level
of personal excellence
within the College environment.
With the launch of the
Centre of Excellence,
Moreton Bay College
can now provide for
the complete "in-school"
development of the academic,
social and sporting
needs of students.
With the development
of the Centre of Excellence,
Moreton Bay College
is "The College"
to attend for a balanced
co-operative development
of academic and Gymnastic
excellence. The College
aspires to setting
the "benchmark"
for Queensland Independent
Schools in the provision
of a "Centre
of Excellence"
in sport.
