During the holidays our competitions
squad received a visit from 2 former Romanian Elite Rhythmic gymnasts. This was an exciting couple of days for
our gymnasts as they learnt skills from 2 former Elite gymnasts.Raluca and Ruxy are now part of a circus
travelling Australia and the girls loved watching the circus and then having
the girls share some of the skills in the gym.A thank you must go out to Margaret Gerard who organised the
valuable experience for MBC.
I would also like to thank all parents
who have volunteered at recent competitions and also in our fundraising
efforts.Thank you to all who have
donated their time and effort.
Also a big thank you to Barbara Pugh who
has been judging all year for MBC.It
is vital that MBC provides judges at competitions and it can also be an
exciting way of learning more about the sport.I would also like to welcome Margaret Gerard to the judging
stage as Margaret has just sat her Level 1 judging course.
Our Level 4-10 and Stage 1-4 gymnasts are
now well into their preparation phase of the season learning new tricks and
difficulties.
Our Level 1-3 gymnasts have only 10 weeks
to their level testing day.All gymnasts
have really come on well in the last term and they are just adding the
finishing touches to their elements and freehand routine.
If any Level 1-3 parent would like a copy
of the freehand music please send a blank CD disc to your daughter’s class and
we will arrange for you to have a copy.
For second year Development, Stage 1 and
2 gymnasts there are timetable changes for term 4.Each class will now be required to attend 3 x week. This is to allow the gymnasts enough
preparation time as all Elite competition has been moved forward 6 months.
As we are heading towards the end of the
year (rather quickly), I am asking all parents to please let me know if your
daughter will be able to attend the end of year display. We have some exciting routines planed and
would love to have all gymnasts involved.Although there is not a specific day and time yet decided we would
like to know if your daughter is leaving to go on holidays in the last week
of school or the first week of the holidays.

A note to all competitive squad members
that I will be choreographing during the holidays so gymnasts will be
expected to stay later on some days.An account to all parents will be sent out for choreography fees in
the last week of the term.
And finally a reminder to all parents
about gymnasts not turning up to classes.I ask that all parents notify me by phone or by placing a note in my folder
on the notice board if their daughter is unable to attend. Some gymnasts are missing out on important
information and skills due to not attending and no make up classes are
available to gymnasts who do not turn up.
